CoA | AICTE
This has reference to the current crisis in architectural education brought about by the sudden decision of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) to terminate the memorandum of understanding between AICTE and the Council of Architecture (COA).
A meeting of the heads and representatives of the schools is called by the Indian Association of Schools of Architecture (IASA), on December 27, 2003 at 11.00 a.m. at the Dept.of Architecture, CSIIT,Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
We need to discuss the issues deeply and rationally to find out the best way to resolve the crisis, and convey our feelings and thoughts to the Government. Since the issues involve the future of architectural education and profession of architecture, it is indeed imperative that we take a joint and united stand on the issues and do all that is humanly possible to correct the situation before it gets out of hand.
We, therefore, request all the heads and representatives of the schools of architecture to make it convenient to attend the urgent meeting which shall be hosted by CSIIT during NASA Convention 2003.
